Curious about Heaven?

Everyone will spend eternity somewhere.

When it comes to the subject of eternity and the destination of a man or woman's soul, God has much to say. His Word is final on this matter, for He is Truth, He cannot lie and by Him all things consist.

"In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;" Titus 1:2

"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they bethrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist." Colossians 1:16-17

We share these Scriptures with you that "...ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 John 5:1

Would you take a moment to consider what He has to say about your eternal destiny?

1. God cannot accept you into Heaven the way you are.

God is holy, and no sin will be allowed in His presence. The Bible says that every person is a sinner and is separated from God because of their sin. Think back on the story of Adam and Eve. After they sinned, God had to drive them from the Garden and fellowship with Him was severed. Why did He do this? Because sin cannot dwell with God.

The Bible goes on to to tell us that "...by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Romans 5:12). Just like Adam and Eve, we too are seperated from God because of our sinful nature.

"And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin" 1 John 3:5

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23

"If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." 1 John 1:10

2. If you are not on your way to Heaven, then you are on your way to Hell.

The Bible tells us that every person will spend eternity in one of two places: Heaven or Hell.

There is no in between destination. There is no holding cell. There is no pergatory or limbo. We will not remain on or in the earth after death. There is no reincarnation. The Bible makes it clear that "...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27). The Bible never makes mention of another destination for the soul of man other than Heaven and Hell.

We understand that Hell can be a touchy topic to some; but if the soul of man is indeed in danger of spending eternity there, then we must warn people! Jesus Himself spoke about the destination of Hell in Mark 9:43-48.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23,

“And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:13-15

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, andmurderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, andidolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." Revelation 21:8

3. Jesus died for you on the cross at Calvary to pay your sin debt so that fellowship with God could be restored and you can go to Heaven!

The Cross was such a horrible, terrible experience because our sin is so horrible and terrible. God judged His only begotten Son, Jesus, as if HE were the sinner. Jesus died in our place! He took the judgement that we rightly deserved to rescue us from spending eternity in the horrid place called Hell!

Read the incredible words of Isaiah concerning Jesus' sacrifice for us:

"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied:" Isaiah 53:3-5, 10-11

They took Jesus off the cross and buried Him in a borrowed tomb. On the 3rd morning, He rose from the dead, demonstrating power over death and that God had accepted His sacrifice as payment in full for the sins of the whole world!

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.“ Romans 5:8

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” I Corinthians 15:3-4

4. There is only one way for you to know 100% that you are going to Heaven when you die:

Believe that Jesus, the Son of God, is the Savior Who died and rose again to pay your sin debt. Repent of your sin, confess your sin to God and place your faith in Jesus and Jesus alone! There is no possible way to be saved outside of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2:8

You CAN trust God and have confidence in His plan for your salvation:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9-10, 13

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:" 1 John 5:14

We "...pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." 2 Corinthians 5:21
